Olsson Fire & Risk are delighted to announce their recent acquisition agreement with GHD in New Zealand and Australia. With strongly aligned values, a client service focus and collaborative culture we are looking forward to being a part of GHD’s 10,000 strong global team. Joining a team of designers, planners, engineers and scientists, OFR brings extensive fire engineering experience to GHD’s already strong Property & Buildings team, and more broadly GHD’s clients across the infrastructure sector. Olsson Fire & Risk operations in the UK are not included in the acquisition and will trade as OFR Consultants in the UK.
We take a holistic, proactive approach to clearly understand the fire safety philosophy of every project, so we can fully appreciate the effects that elements of the design will have on the level of fire safety being provided.
With in-house expertise across all aspects of fire engineering, we provide safer, smarter and more cost-effective fire protection solutions, on time and on budget, with one central point of contact.
Olsson Fire & Risk’s team of construction industry experts provide Design, Value and Compliance advice and testing for passive systems, whatever the scale of your project.
3-D flow patterns facilitate better design and reduce costs, enabling us to analyse the environmental impact of building exhausts, predict smoke and fire spread, and to design natural and mechanical ventilation systems.
Olsson Fire & Risk was founded by Per Olsson and Carl Voss, and has been growing throughout Australia and New Zealand since 2011, with expansion into the UK under the stewardship of directors Simon Lay and Sam Liptrott. As a result of the four directors’ interwoven working history with large global engineering organisations, mutual respect and trust are intrinsic to this independent, specialist fire engineering practice and give it a rock-solid foundation.
